This combination of relaxing and restoring bath herbs includes mildly astringent, tannin-rich raspberry leaves, relaxing lavender, and skin-soothing violet. The result is this fragrant, skin-friendly wash that relaxes the mind and body. The recipe also uses oatmeal, as it’s recognized to be a great remedy for dry skin: it gently nurtures and softens the skin, and leaves it feeling moisturized and smooth.
- 2 tbsp raspberry leaves,
- 2 tbsp violet leaf,
- 2 tbsp lavender,
- 2 tbsp oatmeal, powdered.
Makes enough for 1 bath treatment
- Mix together the herbs and oatmeal, and grind in a pestle and mortar (or a blender or coffee grinder) to get a coarse powder.
- Put the powder in a muslin (cheesecloth) bag. Hang the bag under the tap while running your bath so that the warm water flows through the herbs, then add the bag to your bath water.
